The camera on the Bluetooth-enabled and Wi-Fi accessible Amazon Echo Spot Smart Assistant has a 2.5-inch touchscreen face that delivers picture quality at 480 x 480 pixels. When connected to smart home cameras in and around the home, such as at the front door or a child's room, users can see what is happening in those locations simply by asking the smart assistant. Receiving and making calls is simple as well and, when connected to a video chat service, video calls are also possible through its 1.4-inch speaker. I absolutely love my Echo Spot. Its exactly what I wanted for a bedroom alarm clock and then some. Super easy to set up and use. It looks great and has several optional themes. I really enjoy the drop in feature which allows us to communicate with other echo spots or echo devices, both audibly and with video depending on your type of Echo. Expectations far exceeded
Fantastic little device, syncs with ring camera, nest thermostat and wink router in about 5 minutes of set up. I love the fact that I can ask Alexa is the front door locked and then tell her to lock the door if needed. The Alexa plug in commands make Alexa far superior to a any other AI device and runs circles around Siri. I hope HP makes a print skill
Almost perfect! My friend has a Google Home. It doesn't use skills, which limits its expandability. The Spot is more difficult to use in some ways, but is more capable than the Google Home product. The only thing missing is the ability to have it print my shopping list, i.e. "Alexa, ask my HP printer to print my shopping list". But that small complaint could be easily remedied if Hewlett Packard accepts this thing as having a bright future. About the screen, it's small but useful. For example, to connect to my outside carport camera all I have to do is say "Alexa, show me carport" and I get real time video. In most cases you can't fill the whole screen with your camera video although video from the web usually let you. Oh and I liked it so much I got four of them! I grouped them in an Everywhere group and play my favorites playlist in every room in the house. Life doesn't get much better than that. :-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The Amazon Echo Spot is already my new favorite device. I have it set up as my alarm clock and the “talk to snooze” feature is great! Being able to yell at my alarm clock to snooze it is fantastic!
