Good value, good looks
Good value, looks as good as the $600 European model it replaced, albeit not as powerful, but therefore quieter. We never used full speed on the old hood anyway. It's 40 mm shallower than most canopies, so doesn't protrude into our kitchen as much, and we don't bump our heads any more. Only complaint is that the buttons are cheaply made and very noisy, producing a very loud 'click' when switching speeds or switching off. Dose the job, easy install.
For the price I have no complaints but I truly believe that the range hood is a second. The reason for this is the top of the hood where the chimney fits is spot welded at an angle. This is very poor work. Also the edges on the stainless steel ?, are sharp and poorly finished. The unit is light so can set out on wall with one hand and mark fixing points with the other, no need for 2 people, looks smart and has enough flue to allow for extra ceiling height.
