My son has multiple disabilities, and while there are many activities he likes, this has been the only toy he’s liked for many years. The newer versions are frustrating for him because the corners/sides are rounded and harder to hold onto. He likes the lights, the many musical options, and the bright colors. Good toy, better to buy old style
Although I do not like the design of the new cube, I still love the music and the way the child can play just one instrument or add them together to form the whole orchestra, or just start out with the full orchestra. The old design was much superior to this one, and the illustrations of the instruments were far better, but as it is no longer available, this one will have to do, I suppose. I sincerely wish the company would reverse their bad decision and go back to the old design - it was a GREAT toy, tough, built to last, and there was no way a child could get hurt playing with it. I have one that I bought about 12 years ago and it is still going strong and is a great favorite of children who visit. My strong inclination is to purchase a used one, but one hates to give a used gift. But if you are shopping for your own family and want a wonderful toy for a toddler up to probably about six years old (and mine still gets picked up and played with by children older than that) I strongly recommend that you find a used one at Ebay that is still in good condition and consider buying it for your child.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
