    Excellent Quaity

    Distributor is of excellent quality with great features. and once working properly did make a big difference. MSD do need to improve the instruction sheet to include some Q&A for installation problems. Would not work when first installed due to not enough voltage at the coil from the ignition switch even though I had 12V. I still had to fit a start relay to get it to run. Once this was done it started but I was then unable to turn the engine off, had to fit a diode in the gen light lead from the alternator. Had these issues been stated in the installation sheet it would have been a lot less stressful experience. I had to look through numerous comments on the MSD forums to find the answers to my problems. Also sent an e-mail to MSD Tech help and still have had no reply!!!

    Good Product but has restrictions

    Good quality product. The fact that you can dial in a specific timing curve to suit your engine specifications by changing bushings and springs is an advantage. Beware that if you have installed Yella Terra Dash3 heads on a 308 which in turn, raises the inlet manifold, it becomes difficult to mount the distributor due to the wiring harness and directly opposite, the vacuum actuator for the advance. It will only mount one way which can place a restriction on adjustable timing advance.
