I have osteopenia. I am 78 years young and have always been active. I had a total hip replacement a year ago. New Chapter Bone Strength lives up to its name. A friend recommended these to me in 2018 and since starting to take them, I have raised my bone density results without the use of prescription drugs. A thousand times better than calcium supplements made with ground up rocks! Their calcium comes from plants -- easier absorbed into the body. I could tell the difference fairly quickly as my nails got stronger faster than I expected although that was the side benefit. Easy to swallow and very effective.
I got tired of choking on large calcium pills. These pills are easy to swallow. Your body can only absorb 500 mg of calcium at a time so two of these pills in the morning and two at night is perfect. I take this along with MSM and since taking these religiously along with some Goji juice, I can now swim 45 minutes (90 laps!) a day - before I had so much trouble with my knees! Food-sourced calcium makes it bio available and non constipating. It has all the added nutrients to help with absorption. The only negative is that it doesn't have nearly enough magnesium (should be a 1:2 ratio) so I have to supplement that with another pill.
