Projecta VSR100
This is a very basic and inexpensive VSR. I have had a couple of them now and they do have a limited lifespan. The last one lasted about 4 years. Projecta is not a premium brand and I would have to say the quality isn't likely to be up there with the Piranah's or Narva's but if you can get 4 or 5 years from one it is good value. It also isn't one of the new "smart" units so your spare battery will take a belt instead of a gentle buildup when it switches on which isn't ideal for a fairly drained deep cycle battery. So don't expect your deep cycle batteries to last as long as they would if you spent 3 or 4 times as much on a smart VSR.
