Good quality antenna improves AM reception.
At 1 metre it is a bit long to get into my garage so I fitted it onto a swivel base and leaned in back. The antenna lead is extremely long , so I had to cut it shorter and then fit a new plug. It would be better for installation if the antenna plug was not fitted. Reception from my Pioneer Radio CD on AM was much improved by the antenna compared to the poor reception from a window antenna.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

More practical than aem2
Bought this to replace the aem2 which is 1.5m long and just too flexible, banging and swaying around when driving. This one moves around also, though not so wildly,about 30cm in any direction. Great reception,not as good as taller one of course as dab stations I found on oem2 were patchy on oem3,still no biggy primarily bought for am/FM improvement and it works brilliantly for that. Yep I had to drill holes too,knew I would,no big deal with grommets, just make an educated guess that no electrical cabling where drilling.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
