I enjoy the convenience more than I enjoy the fan
The fan does an average job of cooling. I have cheaper fans that match or exceed the Dyson in that respect. Then there is the purifier. It doesn’t seem to be doing a great job of cleaning the air. The app will tell me that the air quality is great even when I’m looking at air particles floating around me. If I turn on my dedicated air purifier, it will immediately light up red and turn itself on high in the same instance. I kept the fan for fairly shallow reasons: I like being able to operate it from my phone or tablet and am looking forward to adding it to my Echo. Also, it’s pretty. I had intended to move my dedicated air purifier to another room, but for now, I have two taking up even more room because I don’t trust the filtering of the Dyson. Good looking, easy to use.
I love this fan - it looks good and is relatively quiet compared to blade fans. It's extremely lightweight which has not been the biggest issue but I do wish the bottom was heavier because it can easily tip over if set on top of anything. This did not come with a remote but it was easy to connect to the Dyson app - I love monitoring my room quality and it tells me what setting I should change the fan to. Wish it was as powerful as a blade fan (in terms of air) but I would rather take this quiet fan that includes a filter over a normal blade fan any day. Package came excellent - wrapped very well, I was so surprised. Previous owner even added in extra items in the box, a fun surprise. Overall, I would recommend this purifier fan. it is a fan air purifier,, it has three filters including a HEPA filter that are easy to put together.. There are no blades visible where the blades would be, it’s open but it has a round shell that will swivel 180° or you can make it stay stationary.it is easy to keep clean. it does an excellent job purifying the air and also being used as a fan. If you don’t want the sand pushing air out it can be reversed so the air reduces and goes backwards but it is still purifying the air. Air Cooled by the Venturi Effect
Cool air that you can feel as it blows out from a narrow slit vent that works utilizing the Venturi Effect where air is cooled as it compresses and then expands on the other side of a narrow vent or nozzle. I am planning on using this fan to get cooler air at my desk at work when I go back. My workstation is located in a warmer area a little too far from the ceiling air vents making it a little on the warm side for me. I am hoping to make my spot in the office a bit cooler and more comfortable. My test of this Dyson fan at home upon delivery proved it is a great cool fan to have around. I already have 4 Dyson cool towers situated at my chair locations throughout my home and another newer model similar to this one to cool my bar stool location at the breakfast bar. All the Cool Features and Quality, Half the Price
Honestly, I can't make myself pay full price for Dyson's high quality. However, this model is like brand new and at half the price. It's very, very quiet -- in fact, it has a nighttime mode for the most quiet operation and still get round-the-clock air purification. It also has ten power levels, with 10 being impressively strong, all without rattling fan blades or funny rhythm patterns. Choose to have it oscillate or remain still. Use a timer for specific operation hours, or select an automatic function to run whenever the air quality goes below a level you choose. What did we lose for the discounted price? Fair question. 1.) It is last year's model, being replaced with a new design. 2.) No owner's manual included. But it was child's play to get the whole owner's manual, including quick set-up, online. 3.) No remote control. Not a deal-breaker, as there is a handy app called Dyson Link that runs the fan and all its programming features.You can also operate it by pushing the on-off button. We also get bragging rights on getting a great deal when family and friends see it. Because, Dyson's coolness factor is worth something, too.
