    I had good speed 120 down with about 20 up but my latency was pretty high I installed this and my latency dropped so much . Remember you might have fast speed but you need low latencey to . Also called ping . 10/10 and I would buy again All you have to do to install is hook it up and call your internet provider and tell them your Mac ID . It's that easy . Par this with high end router and your set !

    Arris SB6190 Cable Modem

    This modem, along with 2 other devices within the same device family, seems to have compatibility issue with Spectrum. The device experiences frequent drop and disconnection. It might work fine with other ISPs out there, but not in my area. I made the mistake of buying the same one without checking out first. Hope that helps, to those using Spectrum.

    Great performance for lower cost

    The SB6190 has 32 download channels which are all active using Comcast internet. It is capable of up to 1000 Gb/s and is much less expensive than the new Docsis 3.1 standard. For the home user that wants to get higher speed, this is a good choice. With Comcast, it can be set up using your Comcast email address and password. The SB6190 must be directly connected to your computer using an ethernet cable to do that, you can't do it over wifi. You can always call tech support if wifi is the only choice. I have a 250 Mb/s service but I need a faster wifi router to take advantage of it and many devices don't go that fast or even need to.

    Arris Modem is an Upgrade

    Excellent product. My Internet speeds jumped 5 Mb with this Arrus modem. More importantly, the speeds are consistent unlike my old modem. I alao had to reboot my old modem too frequently. The only thing that I don't like on the Arris is the bright lights on the front panel. I save about $156 per year by owning my own modem.

    Took a risk, but it worked!

    I was a bit skeptical after seeing all the negative reviews on this modem. I have an Arris SB6183 and it was giving me high latency, so I thought I would give this Arris SB6190 modem a try on my cable system that runs to DOCSIS 3.0 standard. To my surprise this modem worked great, and when I ran the statistics from the dslreports website my connection got an A+ rating. The cable company had to use a generic Arris SB flash file, but I am pleased with the results.

    Great Modem For the Price

    Very simple to do, just call your local cable company, see if you can buy a modem, if they say yes, find out from them what you need as far as what type of modem you need. After you get it call your cable company again let them know what the MAC address is on the new modem, as well as the serial number, they will also need to know the model number which is clearly on the front of the box. Cable company will work with you on this...I set this up today and I'm very satisfied and would get another modem in a heart beat.

    ARRIS SURFboard SB6190 evaluation

    I just installed this modem this past weekend and it was easy to setup. I did have to contact my ISP about the change as required by my terms and conditions, not a very long call took about 5 to 10 minutes. After connecting the router with the this modem noticed outstanding performance when TV streaming and much better HD screen than before. I also saved 11.00 per month since I no longer have to pay this rental fee for a modem to my ISP. I also notice no buffering error messages on my TV screen and excellent Download(100) and upload(13) speeds. Buy shopping on eBay I saved about $25 to $50 for this modem the local retailers in my area were selling this modem for more than $100.00 dollars brand new. Excellent product strongly recommend this modem for cord cutters like myself.

    It was a breeze to install it for Comcast/Xfinity

    Easy to install and activate. Did not have to even call Comcast to activate. It is compact compared to the rented gateway. Did not see any speed improvement using DSL speed test, as it is already at rated connection speed. But I guess it will be future proof. I could not register the product on Arris website(does not accept the serial number for some reason), so cutting one star.

    Excellent for gaming

    Absolutely love this modem. I have it paired with a netgear Nighthawk AC1000 and it runs flawlessly. I run my Xbox one X hardwired to the Nighthawk and my connection is stellar! I also run my phone and TV at 5G through the Nighthawk and all are super fast even when ran simultaneously. The SB6190 is super small and runs flawlessly. Absolutely recommend especially for gamers and 4K streamers.
