If your a finish carpenter save time don’t buy until there better designed.

I’ve used makita over 30 years good power tools but the 18 and 16 gauge nailers suck they don’t set the nails when using hard woods, new out of the box adjusted depth and still will not set nails. So I’ve bought a makita battery adapter to Dewalt tools and I’ll use dewalt brad nailer much more reliable. Come on makita get your nailers right.

Good Quality but Heavy and Slow

This is a high quality battery powered brad nailer. My main complaints are its weight (nearly 8 pounds with battery) and slowness of operation. It cycles very slowly compared to a pneumatic nailer. Other than that it is top notch and a good choice if you need a cordless finish nailer.

  • Lightweight with great features

I have all my Makita tools, before I bought 2 nail guns 23 g and 16 g,I have been looking for this tool 18 g for a long time, I had to buy it on eBay, which I do not regret, this is really what I needed, Today I tried it in practice in my business, I am delighted, before that I had to carry a compressor , hoses, finishgun, and now only one tool ; which really makes my job easier, + Space saving in my work truck(Instead of a compressor and hoses)

  • Punches above its weight

Bought this from USA at nearly half the price I could get it in UK, same machine just half price. Delivery was excellent. the nail gun is top quality and is very powerful. not quite as powerful as the Paslode but much quieter and for lighter jobs.

  • Better than hand nailing, that's a bout it!

Not impressed.Heavy, slow, huge,no-mare tip has about fallen of 1/2 dozen times and I'm only on my 3rd rack of nails

  • Handy tool

Have not used allot only tried it to make sure it works.but I like it . No more dragging around air lines and compressor . Or buying co2 cartridges . It is kind of heavy but I like how it feels in my hand .

  • don't waste your money on this nailer get a dewalt cordless nailer

unballanced too heavy on battery end does't shoot every time dewalt is much easer to use. i've trimed houses for 45 years and this nailer is not easy to use not recomened

  • It's alright

Doesn't always drive nails flush. It's okay. Pretty disappointed with it compared to my other makita tools.

  • never fool with compressed air lines again

this unit drives 2" long 18 gage brads thru Oak baseboard, thru 1/2" sheetrock into treated 2x's with ease. I installed oak baseboard in 4 bedrooms rooms and never changed the battery. I recommend it to anyone that wants good tools.

  • During Initial tests it functions well. Heavier than expected compared to my old Paslode but more compact & good features
