Good but not the same
This was somewhat a disappointment to myself. Without Mel Gibson it's just not the same. There's good action and special effects but the replacement actor of Max has a very little speaking role as his character seems bland and no real monologue. If you are a younger Generation than it should not be a big deal but The Mad Max Trilogy are my very favorites of any movies ever made so I was reluctant to see this one and I am glad I didn't waste more money in the Theater when it came out. The story line was not of Miller's better one's as I think I could of written a better story. Overall It was okay but not great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

One of my favorite recent films
This movie is absolutely fantastic, and a welcome addition to the Mad Max franchise. There are several themes that intertwine throughout this movie, and the characters are written extremely well. The post-apocalyptic environment that the characters find themselves at odds with is unsettling and brilliant. It is recommended that viewers have some experience with the franchise to fully appreciate this film. Not necessary by any means, but this movie has so much more to offer with the knowledge of where the main character (Max) has been, and the hellish wasteland he has had to survive through. Similarly, it is exciting to see what elements from past films have been updated in Fury Road. This film is an instant classic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Omg...first saw this on the big screen, awesome. No really, nonstop thrilling action, really bad guys and fascinating line up of good guys, starting with Furiosa (eat you heart out Wonder Woman) Max (silent but deadly) the crones of the Motherland - real women, the kidnapped women - did not take them long to learn the ropes and the dying guy - forgot his name - sorry, who is a real sweetie. The music will wake the dead, the ending will leave a door open, the death of the evil king is justice done, here and now, very satisfying, his death and the movie!
