About this product
Product Information
Crash Bandicoot is the first game in Naughty Dog's popular series and follows the titular character as he attempts to defeat mad scientist Dr. Neo Cortex and rescue his girlfriend Tawna. The controls are relatively simple, allowing you to guide Crash as he jumps and whirls through the game's three islands. Defeat enemies by spinning past them or by landing on them after jumping, and make it through each stage without dying in order to unlock the next challenging level. The game contains 33 levels, which are divided between the three islands, as well as hidden areas that must be unlocked by collecting gems.

This game brought a lot of memories and felt very nostalgic playing it. it was like 1996 all over again! I did forget how difficult it was, especially when collecting gems, but it was still nice to play again after all these years, and definitely worth the $28.60 I spent for it.
The remake is great, but there's just something about the original....
I love this game so much. I played it when I was a kid, and even if it's so much easier going back to it as an adult, that doesn't mean it's -easy.- I think the biggest hurdle in this game is the fact that you can't save whenever you want. You can only save at certain points, like after boss fights and by clearing one kind of bonus round. For that reason alone, it's a little hard to recommend the original over the N Sane Trilogy remake, which has more quality-of-life improvements and is more accessible on multiple consoles.
But I can't deny there's something super charming about the original, both in its physics and in its polygon-y PS1 graphics.
I think that this game is in excellent condition for it's age! I have enjoyed playing this game. I had it when it first came out! I loved it then as I do now!
