Great value for money.
Although it was obviously a refurbished and used unit which came unboxed, it had looked almost as good as new. The main shortcoming was that the operation manual was not included which would mean that anybody not familiar with this range of Samsung SmartCams would have a hard time setting it up. Also, the unit needed to have a hard reset (with a pin in the Reset hole) before being set up as it had been used before and the previous WiFi information was still in its memory. The phone or tablet app that would work with this model is SmartCam+ and not the older version of SmartCam. Avoid at all costs
Camera would never connect to any device, newer or older. It started to overheat about 10 minutes after it was plugged in. Horrible even with the price. The only good thing to come out of it was the micro USB cord. Just the cord. It did not even come with a power supply. Good camera for the money

Great oudoor security cam
I've owned and installed several video security systems over the last 20 years. The Samsung SmartCam system is by far the easiest, most reliable with the best image quality of all the systems I have seen. The setup is the absolute easiest of all and can be done by anyone who can operate a smart phone. Included is an image of one of the 6 SmartCams at our home. It is mounted outside and has worked in temps from -10 up to +95 degrees, rain and shine and night.
