This was purchased for my father in an assistant living facility. He had an iPod Nano (1st generation). For him the sound quality is good enough.I also bought one years ago for my daughter who is disabled. It has lasted years for her. It is a good product. It displays the time, you can use as an alarm clock. The display has a light that can be bright, can be dimmed or shut off. It is a good product.
