The quality of the splitter is very good, simple to assemble however there are many anomalies of the claimed splitting force from Ducar / Yukon Machinery for the HLS52000P on page 5 states it at 15 ton, and page 12 calls it at 8 ton force.
As a hydraulic engineer this splitter is not 20 ton, not possible from the ram size and the pressure the hydraulic pump can supply splitting FORCE = hydraulic PRESSURE x piston AREA, at best the maximum achievable splitting force from a 80mm hydraulic cylinder with a pressure of 21 Mpa acting on the cylinder is 10.86 ton of force, there is no amplification in the hydraulic system so that is all the hydraulic system can achieve.
The engine is only 196cc and not the claimed 208cc [some one just put the new sticker over the old 196 cc sticker]. Very disappointing!

A great little machine. The only issue I have with it is it could be a 300 higher off the ground but then I am 6'3" and I have to bend over to operate the control lever. Not a biggie as I can rectify that by making up longer legs. A bolt was missing for holding the log stabilizers on and the o ring on the hydraulic tank was damaged but that is also easily sorted.
