It is a simple game but it requires good thinking skills. It is a great family game where children can take part and can develop organizational skills and multiple strategy skills. It is a little long for most children under 9 I think. Our 7 year old grandchild caught on to the concepts but tired of playing after 5 hands. Nice rummy variant with 5 suits
I would have given the game 5 stars if it came with a sample score sheet. You need a score sheet to record each player's residual points. I have added a sample score sheet to this review. This game is very similar to a rummy game called "65" which we play with a standard deck of cards. With the Five Crowns card deck having 5 suits, it is a nice variant to using a standard deck with only 4 suits.
