The fabric is soft. It is a "sand colored-oxford cloth" in appearance. It feels like cotton but does not bag, when sitting on it. The back cushion covers are a bit large.(I guess I could get more batting.The service was exceptional. Delivered promptly within the week. Ektorp sofa cover fits "popular barn" basic sofa
I bought my "popular barn" basic sofa after reading that the Ektorp cover would fit. I had not tried this until now, more than a year after I purchased sofa. The original cover was getting a little dingy, so I thought I would try the Ektorp cover. I don't live near an Ikea so I ordered. I can tell you the fit is quite good; I was pleased with the styling (a bit plainer than my original) and the fabric and color. Plus, it says it is washable (the original was not supposed to be).
