to buy or not to buy ..{eBay }
The MX8 AIS A GREAT pool cleaner, and these tune up kits are great at keeping your cleaner working at its optimum level. The only problem I have had is with the tracks, { this order only}, the inside guide on the track broke down in patches on both tracks ?, something that has never happened to me before . I have installed about 4 turnup kits, and about 8 sets of tracks. It was suggested that there may have been a problem with the gearing , but this was not the case, i replace the faulty tracks with a spear set I hade and has continued working well as before. I brought this fault to the eBay shop were I bought the kit and was told that I would have to take it up with ZODIAC, I have done so and waiting for a reply from them. The only thing I find disappointing is that the eBay shop did not replace, and I hade to do all the chasing around , which has brought me to the conclusion that I may be better off buying this type of product from my local pool shop, were I would have been helped with a replacement straight awayVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Zodiac Tune-up kit - Cost effective but deficient.
The unit is designed to replace three separate models of pool cleaner. It contains parts for all three, but the model I own does not need all these parts. I am therefore forced to pay for parts which I cannot use and that I must discard. Zodiac have been made aware of this, and have chosen not to respond. The kit also does not include a bearing for the non-gearbox tractor shaft assembly, which meant I had to use an old impeller shaft bearing (which fits). This should be addressed by the manufacturer. Having said this, the parts that I did use are of good quality and fit for purpose. The kit is easy to use, but suffers from the fact that no installation instructions are included. I have used these kits previously, and they tend to extend the life of the pool cleaner by around two to three years, and are much cheaper than a replacement pool cleaner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

MX8-MX6 Service Kit
The kit makes it easy to install and replace old worn out worn out parts in the cleaner. The whole process took 20-30mins using a phillips head screw driver. Cleaner now works like new out of box, very happy with the purchase, if you buy for MX6 you will have additional gear spindle and pump for left side as kit is designed for MX8 larger cleaner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

new life to old machine
This is a great way to get your pool cleaner working. Our MX8 was pretty much stationary in the pool. This easy to put together tune up kit made 'maxy' a new cleaner, he is getting up the sides, along the steps and covering the whole pool. Unblock the hose first
This is our second tune-up kit for our AX10 in four years. Tracks were quite worn so thought must need a tune up kit. In this case turned out one of the hoses was blocked with leaves, so probably changed prematurely. Also works better with a clean filter. My other suggestion is to be careful when untightening the screws as two were seized causing the plastic to brake. Don't use an electric drill/rattle gun. Otherwise the Tune-Up Kit has helped in the past. Shame it doesn't come with replacement brushes as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value and easy to fit.
Only one part was need to get it going, but there was good value purchasing the kit for later use. Though while it was open all the parts were replaced in this older unit. They fit easily (my mum did it) and got it going again. Happy days.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great little kit
Our pool cleaner had virtually stopped working which was a little disappointing as it was under 2 years old but after installing the tune up kit it was like a new cleaner again. Brought my mx6 back to life
Easy to fit if you can operate a philips screwdriver. Only quibbles: The kit has a redundant gearbox if you have an MX6. Seem’s a waste. No rubber inserts for the motor slot - mine were worn out but machine seems to operate with one missing. No new bearings for the non-gearbox end of MX6. Other than above machine works ok but I had to reduce the bypass flow on my filter as the new gearbox seems a bit “tight”.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Money Saver
We have a Zodiac MX6 cleaner which wasn’t working. After being told it would be expensive to replace parts and advised to buy a new one ($795 with fitting), we searched for an alternative when we found the tune up kit. Although it has 2 engines (we only needed one) and a longer shaft which wouldn’t fit, we bought it.
