a pretty fun boat
Coming from drone flying this boat is pretty cool. It's super fast. One thing that's weird is the steering. It steers harder to one side than the other. I tried messing with the control rod but it didn't help. I also re-routed the servo and sensor cable onto the starboard side to be neater. The water cooling doesn't work super well so the motor still gets pretty hot. I might re-route the cooling water intake from the bottom to on the rudder to get better flow. Decent boat for the price
Bought these for my kids ages 4 and 5. This is the second boat for my five year old...a little faster than his first and he does ok. The 4 year old needs a little assistance but manageable. The boat does steer better in a clockwise circle. Counterclockwise is a larger radius and harder to avoid objects but normal for this rudder/prop setup. Quality seems good. For a super cheap little boat this thing rocks.. but I had to play with the linkage between the servo and rudder. At first it barely turned, after I adjusted it to have more swing it transformed the handling and turns razor sharp. Chinese boat works great in American waters
Works as described. I ordered a red one, and received a black one. In my case, I was fine with either. Radio has good range. Boat longer than one might expect, and beeps when the battery is low. when it beeps, it's really low, so return to shore immediately, It's too powerful for its size, so at full speed it's hard to control. We bought this for our 10 yr old and he loves it! It's very fast and it starts beeping when the battery is low so you know to bring it in.
