This is a lightweight trimmer and edger very easy for seniors to use. The spool is very easy to replace. If you have a large yard to trim you may use more than one each time you use it. One problem I encountered if you bumped it against a hard surface to hard it will caused the spool to keep advancing line and you can no longer use it unless it is repaired.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ultimately a good buy, but...
The trimmer was used but worked fine except that it was missing a part that controls the release of string and so all the trimmer string would be gone in less than a minute. I had to go online and buy the missing piece, and now it works. So this has to be a qualified passing grade. I only paid $25 but had to buy string because there was none. B&D string Trimmer electric
I just started using my new trimmer, the only thing that I'm finding that doesn't work as it should is the auto string feeder. I've been doing it manually and it's fine but really, advancing string feed should be a real easy engineering thing for B & D 's guys. This B and D weed whacker is worth every penny. I have a quarter acre of weeds to cut and I am so impressed with this tool. Yes it's corded but no problem. As you probably do, I have 1/2 mile of extension cord saved up over the years. I don't like gas powered and battery for my sized job doesn't cut it.
