Excellent 800mm lens user friendly lens, fun to have...
Got that lens second hand and did not look back. I was hesitating at first but on my R5 despite the reduced AF area (Square in the middle), this 800mm is EXCELLENT even at a fixed F11 aperture.... OK you will not get the subject isolation of a big expensive telephoto lens but you are paying more than 10 times less for that lens. If we consider the weight of the lens, this lens is light, a pro 800mm lens will weight a lot more. So quality versus price, it's difficult to beat AND it is relatively light. The barrel extension does not bother me, this lens is better for static subjects (800mm is difficult to frame with moving subjects). I got the matching hood as well so as far as I am concerned it's a keeper, a fun lens to have...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
