Product Information
Disney's The Little Mermaid II: Pinball Frenzy gives you two scrolling pinball tables in one game cartridge. One of the tables is based on Disney's The Little Mermaid, which hit theaters in 1989, while the other is based on Disney's The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, the direct-to-video movie that was released to stores within a few weeks of this game.

The tables combine traditional pinball elements such as flippers, multi-balls, bonus multipliers, bumpers, and targets with themes and characters from the corresponding films. Both pinball machines have a number of table games you can try your hand at after spelling out the corresponding character's name (A-R-I-E-L or M-E-L-O-D-Y). Ariel's table features Shark Attack, Kiss the Girl, Trident Kickback, Flotsam 'n' Jetsam, Treasure Hunt, Find Scuttle, Extra Ball, Ursula's Lair, Storm Multiball and Ursula Revealed.

Melody's table games include Undertow Chase, Bear Attack, Trident Kickback, Cloak 'n' Dagger, Trident Hunt, Find Dash, Extra Ball, Iceberg Lair, Volcano Multiball and Morgana Revealed. (Melody is Ariel's daughter in Mermaid II).

To beat the various table games, you must keep the ball in play for an extended period of time and successfully aim it at an assortment of objects such as caves, targets, letters, ramps and lights. Film-related items you'll shoot for include Starfish Spinners, a pit of lava, a shipwreck, sea horse pop-bumpers, blowfish, and clams. For extra points, you can score combos by shooting the ball through a series of loops. For extra oomph, you can bump the table (left, up, or right) to help direct the ball.

To assist you in knowing what direction to shoot the ball for maximum results, white and yellow arrows frequently appear on the table. Following these arrows will help you play table games, get extra balls, complete combos and unlock pinball-based mini-games. These mini-games will have you saving villagers from an erupting volcano, breaking through ice to save Tip, chasing manta rays back into their caves, battling Ursula and much more. There are 16 mini-games in all.

Prior to choosing one of the two available pinball tables, you can select from several options, including one to four players, three or five balls, fast or slow ball speed and more. The game cartridge features a battery-operated Rumble Feature that you can turn on or off; this allows you to feel vibration feedback when you launch your pinball, hit a target or enter a scoop. Also, if you've got a Game Boy Printer, you can print out your high scores and favorite characters.Product Identifiers
