Lightweight easy to use with non-contact. Celcius was much better.

Braun BFH125 Forehead Thermometer
Although the enticing features and reputation of Braun products, I found this unit grossly inaccurate. Cross checking with glass oral standard and rectal also oral digital Thermometers I already own. They are slow but accurate. Which why I was looking forward to using this device. I thought it may be a defective unit being it was a pre owned unit. So I went to a nearby pharmacy and purchased a new unopened unit by the way is the most expensive one of all offered by the nearby pharmacies in my area. To my surprise the new one was actually worse than the used one off by more than 3 to 5 degrees. I tried the unit over and over for a few days with no improvement. I will not trust this unit for any kind of use in the near future. Nor Would I try to dump it on ebay to some whom might trust the readings and possibly delay a proper diagnosis of a loved one. I did return the new one to the pharmacy and noted the return was because of gross inaccuracies. I also Tubed it and found others with similar conclusions. My bad for not doing my homework before buying. I will not seek a refund from the seller because I sell also and I just hate when people by and return stuff. It is not the sellers fault the item is sub par,it is a manufacture design and quality control issue.I will continue to buy other Braun products in the future but not these type of units. It very well could be, forehead and non contact devises are not the best way to take a person's temp. Great idea but maybe a pie in the sky sales pitch. Well.. I fell for it. But not twice.If it was my company selling these things it definitely is not worth risking a good brand name and customer confidence on a device not worthy of Braun quality and reputation. Simple to use
A little confusing in the beginning, but instructions are printed right on the unit. Auto shutoff happens too quickly. I have high frequency hearing loss so can’t hear the beep, so just hold to the forehead for a 3 count. Seems to be about right. An oral thermometer is more accurate!
I feel like I just wasted $100 buying a state-of-the-art forehead thermometer -- even though it's perfectly accurate! It arrived in the mail and my wife & I had fun testing it on each other: normal results. But last night, I was lying in bed reading with a small swing-arm lamp above me and took my temp: 103!! and again:103! Took my temp with the older oral one and it read normal. So I went into a cooler room, waited 5 minutes and used the new one: normal. Reads fairly fast but not very accurate

Like this thermometer a lot.
Nice unit. Easy to use - takes minutes to set up out of the box and AAA batteries are included. It's takes temperature in seconds, works like a charm and reads temperature in Fahrenheit. Unlike units coming from overseas, no fumbling with awkward menus to reset the thermometer reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Only downside is that the instructions recommend touching forehead with unit for accurate measurement. It's great for families, but not the most sanitary for a workplace or other highly populated setting. However, it still takes a fairly accurate temperature reading when held about 1/2" to 1" away from forehead (not touching).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works great by following directions.
I had read a lot of bad reviews about the Braun forehead thermometer ...right after purchase. So, i was concerned because it was about $80. I've had it for about a week and it works perfectly. I followed the directions, as other reviewers had suggested and they had left good reviews as well. So, just read and follow directions and make sure the batteries are fresh.
