Awesome budget crawlers.
I bought two of these Gen 7 Pros. One for me one for my 5 year old son. Out of the box they are a blast. I added the portal axles to my black one. Ground clearance greatly improved. My son loves his. It had a tendency to roll when he would take turns at full throttle. I tightened the springs down on the front shocks handles the turns much better. The portals are the only mods done. I think they are worth the money. We've had them a few weeks no broken parts. Lost one small nut from a steering link. My fault for not checking. Bouncing around will loosen hardware. Check your nuts after each run.

Lots for your money!
This is a SOLID truck especially for the $$. What I don’t understand is the steering, you only get about 75% of the available steering, very hard to corner. Looked online & found $75 kit to fix it. I have over 50 RC Trucks and compete. I used 6 little washers and two longer screws to raise the drag link over the pumpkin. Steers perfect, under a $1 in parts and 10 minutes labor! Redcat Gen7 Pro review
I have the Everest 10, and it was an awesome crawler after a few upgrades, but still lacked that scale look and had it's limits. The gen7 is well made, And built to last. It's waterproof and will hang with a lot upper brand scale trucks. To me it's more of a trail/mud truck, and not so much a rock crawler because of the clearance ,it don't have the articulation like the previous Everest 10. The pro has better shocks,better lockers, and comes with the scale parts on the roof rack, also a lot better tires than before and with the nice bead lock rims

Quality build and I like the upgrades over the Gen 7 Sport- roll cage, roof rack w/accessories, fender flares and running boards, and inner fenders wells.
