The Chessie Special HO Scale train set from Bachmann is a freight workhorse running on Chesapeake & Ohio's mountain mainline! The set includes an 0-6-0 steam locomotive, a stock car, three-dome tank car, steel gondola andoff-center cupola caboose, all equipped with E-Z Mate(R) knuckle couplers. Chessie Special carries cargo on a 47 x 38" oval of snap-fit E-Z Track(R). The set also includes a power pack, speed controller and an illustrated instruction manual.

it had some problems
The Train set was in good condition for the most part, but three of the freight cars’ automatic couplers were damaged, which made the assembly process tedious. Also, the locomotive would stall at times, but after cleaning the tracks and the rest of the set, the locomotive began moving smoothly. Overall, the design is gorgeous and detailed, which makes the train set appear as a real train.

solid product, made in China by only manufacturer of HO trains worldwide!
a good starter set for a child around 7+ yo - be aware it's only a starter set and the controller is not robust and can only control this train and track.
