Nice, modern unit with very good features and a large, clear screen
I was looking for a GPS with voice commands, and lifetime maps and traffic to replace a Nuvi 2595 whose traffic receiver stopped working. This unit functions quite well, but only shows traffic alerts, rather than the older unit's Green, Yellow, and Red icons to indicate whether traffic is "normal," "slow," or "very slow." The microphone also requires you to speak quite loudly, or repeat your requests, but the GPS eventually responds. You can also use Blu-tooth to connect with your smartphone for hands free phone use, and if you have a data plan, you can use Apps to get weather, text messages, and other messages displayed on the GPS screen. It also uses wi-fi for map and software updates, which enables you to get them if you have wi-fi, even without a computer and Garmin Express.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Quality GPS with large display and great accuracy.
This Refurbished Garmin GPS unit looks and works just like NEW. I replaced a cheaper 7-inch GPS with this one since mine had poorer accuracy and was Glitchy at times with popup Error messages about a missing file that made no sense. This one cost twice the price but is well worth the investment. It has a sharper display, good features and is very reliable. Only drawback is that my cheaper unit had any more features, apps, etc that I have lost with this one. Still trying to learn how to use all the features but no real Good Instructions to find out if I can add Music and Picture files to it as well as possibly some addon APPS. I like Garnim GPS units.
This is my third Garmin GPS unit. Two are different models of the Drivesmart and the other is built into a Kenwood Stereo/NAV system installed in one of my cars. I like the interfact and how basically intuitive it is. I bought this one because my older one did not support the wireless rear view camera and I didn't want to hassle with wiring from the rear of my truck to the head on my dash. Best GPS I've ever had
It's amazing The traffic shows me every jam and navigates me around them very well if i want. The delay times are very accurate it's very precise and sees evey little thing every where i go. All the features and map is nice easy to read. The sun has no effect on the screen whatsoever while it washes out my other navigators screen completely. I always see it bright and clear all day. A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED
I did considerable research and was surprised that this version was not favored over the Ver. 55 - maybe the price? It has many great features and met all of my wish list except one. Nice size screen, BaseCamp compatible
With the caveat that I have not yet put it into extended use, and that I have previous experience with Garmin handheld and automotive GPS, I have found this to be an easy upgrade from my old Nuvi (ca 2013). I was able to update maps quickly using Garmin Express, and bring in all my old waypoints using BaseCamp. The larger screen makes it easier to see. Pro Very reliable voice recognition. Very reliable screen picks. Data base finds places well. Routing options are very useful and it gets you where you want to go. Traffic feature and rerouting is very useful. Con, The orange and lightly orange color for construction areas and slow moving traffic could be greater contrast. Which direction has the slow moving traffic? The color is across the entire section of road it would be nice if the lines where finer and one could tell what lanes are slow moving. Great, easy to use GPS.
The unit replaces an older Garmin GPS, and is a huge improvement. The voice command system makes it safer to operate while driving. The larger screen’s displays are similar, except for the next turn photo-like views which are great. The start-up time is very fast when compared to my previous unit.
