    ONE BAD MOTHER

    THIS SUB IS HUGE AND HAS ONE BIG MAGNITE. THIS THING HITS SO HARD AND SOUNDS SO GOOD. MAKE SURE YOUR BOX IS PORTED AND IS THE CORRECT SIZE OF A TRUE 32HZ BOX. IM USING A PIONEER 870 AMP WHICH IS 400WATTS RMS AT 4OHM BRIDGED. AND IT RATTLES MY TRUNK AND BACK WINDOW GLASS HARD. I HAVE A 2012 KIA OPTIMA. IT RATTLES MY EYES AND EARS. I HAVE ONLY A SINGLE SUB. I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THIS ONE BAD MOTHER OF A SUB.

    Amazing Sub For a great price

    I used to run a brand of woofers that were much more expensive than Skar. Bought a Skar amp for my step sons car and was amazed by the quality because it was such a good price. To me this is what Skar represents. A good quality product at an even better price. (With similar performance to the brand i used to run.) I am running this sub on that same RP-1500 amplifier and it pounds. Planning on migrating this setup to the wife's car, and have ordered 2 EVL-10s for mine to be powered by an old Kicker 2500. The only reason i said no to "is it compact" is because its a 12" sub. It is big and heavy. If you want compact get a 6.5"

    qc needed, scratches, scuffs not acceptable for this expensive of a sub. sound, is however, AMAZING.thank you SKAR

    so, the speakers are hooked to 1 hifonics zrx1800.1D (per sub) wired each @ 1 ohm. they take the output with 0 problem at all. they flex like a boss. 2 cubic foot box @ 33 hz is killing it. magnet bottoms and dust caps had scuffs on them.. for 400 i don't like that quality control. upgrading from 2x audio pipe 1200w dual 4 ohm and 2x audio pipe 1500w dual 4 ohm. so with the magic of these speakers i went from 4 speakers to only needing two. i would buy it again, as stated the sound is phenominal

    id give 5 stars for just a little help

    ive got the 2500 watt 12 hooked up to a 2500 watt monoblock and set in ported box i built. it hits hard and sounds great but i can tell im not getting all of what it can do. my other speakers distort before it does. i dont know alot about this stuff. all i know is the jbl i had before performs about the same and its only 300 watt. with my set up im pretty sure it should distort my vision and vibrate my internal organs. id love a diagram and build plans for an enclosure and how to wire the voice coils for best performance. ive been a carpenter for 16 years so just a cut list and dimensions for a box made of 3/4 mdf would be awesome. im trying to get it in an 03 dodge ram.

    Cast basket a plus

    I purchased this sub-woofer to replace my Infinity Kappa 120.9 I was running at 2 ohms that for some odd reason started making a low clicking or popping at certain frequencies after 7 years. the Skar EVL-12 D2 is well made nice cast basket lots of excursion and sounds good. I wired it in series at 4 ohms. The best part is the mounting holes were exactly the same as the Kappa. Its mounted in a 2 cubic foot MDF poly filled 32 Hz tuned ported box. The only fault I had was the sealant between the cone and voice coil cover had an area about 3" that wasn't completely filled in with a nice bead, only cosmetic. Other reviews gave positive feedback. It was on sale at a great price and shipping was fast. Would I recommend it the answer is yes.

    It Bangs!

    I decided to put my system back in my car and so I wanted to replace my 12in competition Kove Armageddon which still plays but I had it for 16-17yrs. I started looking up different subs and ran across Skar, and saw the ratings good and on price range but had good specs. I wired it to my 2000 watt amp and got it in a box I had which is close to hz needed and this thing blew my Kove away. It even pumped enough to go head to head with my old Rockford 15in Punch. So far I'm impressed with this Skar 12in 2ohm speaker and might purchase more in the future.

    A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!

    So i don’t even know where to start. This subwoofer is amazing in all ways not to mention the box is custom and has skar embroidered on the front. This sub hits so hard it makes my house shake (I HAVE IT UNDER MY DRESSER AND MY AMP IS PLUGGED INTO A POWER ADAPTER) and it also fits almost anywhere i move it to. i I love everything about this sub like the subwoofer,box,and terminals.

    Skar EVL15

    Coming from an old Fusion Jonah Lomu 15 I was initially disappointed that it wasn't as loud as a direct swap, but I've realised it just wants more power than my measly 900watt amp can deliver. It sounds significantly better and way more musical and controlled than the old sub as well so for what I was looking for it definitely ticks that box. Plus mounted inverted, it looks super pretty as well. I'm sure with a bit more power I will love every new kick drum and bass line from here in.
