  • Absurdist-Humanist Masterpiece

A bizarre cinematic piece with some fascinating stars, and very much overlooked. Pseudo Historical and Fantasy? It's hard to know what's real here, especially when presented with what seems like a German grassroots movement that 'changed' the world for the worst.... I was taken aback by Marlene Dietrich's performance of the song Just A Gigolo. Very bittersweet. Everyone's performance is great in this film, especially Mr. Bowie's. There's still an air of The Man Who Fell To Earth about him. His scenes are filmed magnificently. His character comes to a sad propagandist end unfortunately, it's heartbreakingly insulting. The 'making of' documentary is one of the best I've ever seen for it's sheer relevance, truly fascinating history. This is a wonderfully restored and worthwhile Blu-ray release, I can't recommend it enough. Don't miss it please.
