The grip supports additional mounting options: the Flash and microphone can be mounted through the 1241 cold shoe, and the wrist strap, like the 2456, can be mounted through the eyelet to prevent the camera from being accidentally dropped. Highly adjustable to accommodate different cage heights and to support quick switching from left-handed to right-handed with the built-in key.
