ReviewsRanked #69 in Spin Magazine's "90 Greatest Albums of the '90s.", Ranked #22 in The NME "Top 30 Heartbreak Albums" - "...A harrowing document of barely-imaginable remorse...", Rated #61 in AP's list of the `Top 99 Of '85-'95' - "...zen scientists with a yen for synthesizing the best jazz and noise rock...reinvented rock-song structure and rejuvinated the concept of dynamics....No less an authority than Steve Albini called this album a landmark and that may be the truest statement he's ever uttered.", "Innovation and an Air of Menace Continue to Make Spiderland an Authentically Disconcerting Listen.", "Featuring the band's characteristic quiet/loud/quiet sonic conceit. As stylistic signifiers go...it's a nifty trick, one Slint deploys in ways that are hypnotic...", "The sound of hardcore types like Big Black slowed down to a snail's pace....the architects of the quiet/loud/quiet dynamic..."
Some of The Greatest Music Ever To Come Out Of The 1990's, definitely a must have in any music collection. Vinyl itself is nice, not 180gm heavyweight vinyl but still is solid, might have to swap the inner sleeve for a more high quality one for maximum protection in the long term for your record.
So Glad To Own This And Recommend It To Anyone Who Loves Alternative Rock With An Empathises On The Overall Atmosphere That Is Created and Maintained From Start To Finish On This Album. But Seriously Every song is an essential track, no song is better than the other, they all are amazing. My Personal Favourites are The First Track, Breadcrumb Trail, The 4th track, Washer and the Last Track, Goodmorning Captain.
