  • Top favourable review

    Good value and compatibility

Based on broadcom 5709 chipset works out of the box on most NAS solutions and pfsense. 2x cards + PCIe 1x to 16x rizer still cheaper than an quad port nic. Good to build pfsense box or NAS solution.

  • Top critical review

    Performance Improvements

Worked better than the internal Intel (Dell Optiplex 7010), especially on the uplink side which is why I purchased it to get full 500MB speed/ The Intel only gave half the upkink speed with latest drivers. Haven't tested it at a fill 1gb load, but am happy with it at 500Mbit speeds.

  • Works great in a rapid dev server (Fedora)

Didn't need to rebuild kernel as I thought I might need to. Bonding it can be fun though. I got one for my windows 7 file repo and generic drivers work. Not able to get Britain broadcom drivers unless you have ms server edition, so don't count on its extra perks there.

  • Dual Network Adapter

Connected it. It works. Increased network by an access point and Gigabyte switch. Nice!

  • Great quality with a great price.

For a used Ethernet PCIe adapter, this is great quality. It does exactly what I wanted it to: passes data through Ethernet.
