    Value will depend on your personal useage

    I've had nothing but bad luck with after-market inkjet cartridges and gave up purchasing them years ago. As you would expect, these genuine Epson cartridges work flawlessly in Epson printers. The 273XL ink cartridge will print essentially twice the number of pages as the standard 273 cartridge. The 273XL costs roughly twice as much as the 273. So the benefit of the 273XL is convenience. But if you don't print a lot, the 273XL may dry out before you use all the ink. I go through a standard cartridge roughly every 6 months, so this extra capacity cartridge works for me. When buying on eBay, confirm the "use by" date to make certain you're not getting an old cartridge.

    273XL Black

    Even though this ink cartridge was sealed it was clogged resulting in poor printing performance. I had to clean the cartridge with alcohol and use the nozzle clean function 6 times prior to getting it to wor properly. Unfortunately the cleaning process used up half the ink in my cartridges which cost me more money in wasted ink than what this replacement cartridge cost. In addition the black ink looks grey in comparison to the Epson ones. I will be sticking with Epson in the future.

    Epson Black 273XL Ink Cartridge

    works like a champ - Epson has real problems accepting cartridges - but pulling out all the cartridges and reinstalling them got everything working - 273XL working well - will see how long it lasts. Meanwhile I'm still trying to get this XP610 Epson to work as it should.

    Still in Epson's sealed bag, but not in a box with expiration date. Seems just fine.

    The printer ink cartridges arrived a few days earlier than expected, and still in the sealed plastic manufacturer bag. But they were not in the manufacturer's box, which contains an expiration date. I've begun using the first 233-XL Black cartridge, it prints exactly the same as one directly from Epson.

    Always buy the OEM - far superior to the knockoffs ....

    If you have an Epsom printer that takes this cartridge I would highly recommend that you stick to genuine OEM cartridges rather than the knock offs. Much better for your printer in the long run with no hassles about cartridges not being "accepted" ...
