Just Works day after day
This is one of those quality built products that just works. Everything you need to set up is in the box so with a just a screwdriver installation can be completed in minutes. The sensor is very reliable and works day after day. The Hue App is very stable and integrates well with all the major Voice environments, I have it integrated with apple home, Alexa and Google and it just works. There is no frustrating time when you have to delete and re add the sensor when it loses connectivity. I have been using these sensors for a while and they are very reliable as part of any automation scheme. The only feature I would like to see Philips add is a humidity and air pressure sensor then I could use them to automatically roll down external shutters in the case of an approaching thunder storm but that is just a wish

The most useful device of this decade.
The Philips Hue does what it is designed to do and does it well. It is easy to set up, it is quite small and unobtrusive. The sensitivity is adjustable. It comes with a magnet that slots into the back of the device so you can easily attach it to a household appliance such as a washing machine or fridge. I have attached one to my fridge so that as I walk into a dark kitchen it turns on the kitchen light automatically. It is set low so that my cat activates it and she can eat her feed at night with the light turned on to 50% brightness. I also have one set up so that it illuminates my path to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Excellent finishing touch to your home automation.
Excellent product to automate your lights. When we walk into our media room the lights come on for 1 minute (you can set the time) then go off, same with the master bedroom too. Such a great idea for home automation! We have hidden it as its very small, behind a clock so you cant even see it! My only suggestion is to release these in black to blend in more.
