Good quality small PTZ camera
I'd been investigating small PTZ cameras for some time and this one in particular. The 4x zoom, pan and tilt made it easy to position the camera exactly as I wanted. It is not too big and the quality is very good. It was fairly easy to set up but getting intrusion detection and line crossing detection to work I found to be quite tricky. Good buy, Minor differences from original
This OEM gives a good bang for your buck. Note that while labeled Hikvision OEM DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3, this white label has a couple of differences from the original HikVision labeled camera 1. Unlike the original, the OEM does not have a built in microphone, and only provides a Line-In input 2. The OEM firmware custom and slightly different than original. While the original has Hik-Connect cloud monitoring, this one had a different service listed (I did not check it out). Couple of other minor differences include ability for digital zoom beyond the x4 optical that does not exist in original. All in all, being about 20% cheaper than original, it is a good bargain, as log as you do no need the built in mic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

There are cameras and then there's Dahua.
Compared to other cameras there is a noticeable improvement in overall feel, function, and performance with Dahua. Image quality is excellent but when using Blue Iris the improved refresh and response time of the Dahua it far above the rest of my cameras. It's enough that I will be replacing the rest with Dahua. Good camera. The mount is very cheap and not vandal proof.
The image quality from this camera is exceptional. I have other Hikvision PTZ cameras that have metal mounting plates and are way more secure than this one. The mounting plate is white plastic and rotates and clicks into place. No set screws or anything. If mounted in a low location, a five-year-old could take this down in 10 seconds. Works everything as specified over ethernet cable or WIFI + simple motion detector of preselected area, Streaming in both formats MJPEG and H265. Picture quality is good. PTZ OK. Long term stability is perfect, noticed no problems at all during 10 days period. But I couldn't get working smart funcions, as face recognition, entering selected area and so on. Runs well with Blue Iris software. Internal disk storage helpful; just be careful prying off the cover to get to the disc mount. Responsive PTZ controls. IR illumination is outside of the camera dome; so no annoying internal reflections that I've seen on others. Survives hot summers and freezing temperatures; no moisture infiltration.
