The best show on TV
The Big Bang Theory is so entertaining, a family, friendly show. A story about a group of gifted, talented, yet odd group of people brought together to develop not only a friendship but to find love within their group. This program is refreshing in showing support Dr. Leonard Hofstadter and Dr. Sheldon Cooper, both physicists working at Caltech bond a group of geeky, socially awkward friends and co-workers Howard Wolowitz and Dr. Raj Koothrappali. Let's not forget about the females, Penny's social skills, sexy, common sense, street smart, yet less educated rounds out the males of the show. Dr. Bernadette who is a very strong female, cute but packs a punch in a small package. Although highly educated, raised in a everyday American home, Bernadette keeps people grounded and on track. One of my favorites, Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler a well matched girlfriend to Sheldon. A well educated, analogizing, comparing personality, awkward in not only social skills but dressing in unique vintage clothing becomes friends with Penny and Bernadette who are slowly swaying her to reveal her body to the today fashion. The love between Amy and Sheldon give a "Aww" to relationships. A deep attraction, yet no touchy feely physical contact is necessary to display their affection for each other. The show gives a positive friendship, group relation without basis on sex scenes, naked bodies which I find refreshing. I know the show cannot continue for decades, but for the time it's one I can be entertained, root for the underdog, and smile at a group of friends that ceases to amaze.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

STILL GOOD GOING INTO SEASON 8
SOME OF THE JOKES ARE GETTING A BIT OVERPLAYED, BUT OTHERWISE THIS SERIES DESERVES ANOTHER SEASON OR TWO YET. THE WRITER CHUCK LORRE GIVES YOU A SPECIAL TREAT AFTER EVERY EPISODE WITH HIS VANITY CARDS. BAD WRITING is going to kill BBT.
I have enjoyed every show of BBT and I have every episode on DVDs. I also look for bloopers and errors like any true fan. The writers don't get blamed for putting words in the actors mouth, the actors get blamed like the show is REAL. You have achieved your goal of making the character real but you take every opportunity to tell everyone that it is not. That is why shows die. Several of this and last years episodes have violated the series "Bible" more than a few times. Making the characters say incorrect statements or follow illogical choices for their characters. They apparently want the show to go on for a long time and Soaps clearly show it is possible. While many, many Fans want to believe that their friends on BBT are real, almost every time they are in public they talk about the characters in terms of jobs and tasks to perform and their private lives. The writers and producers should take a GIANT LEAP forward and incorporate the outside activities into the show. The endorsements and commercials that the actors are doing should be written into episodes so that they can get rich enough to buy the building and start transforming it into condos. When the actors do interview shows and interact with the public (ie ComicCon) they should always stay in character as much as humanly possible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

So much fun!
This series is really amazing. The characters are so perfect. For once I applaud the people who cast these actors. My son and I watch it together at least every other day. They never fail to make me laugh. I love that the guys are all comic/video game nerds! My son and many others are a lot like this strange group of friends. Great Comedy
The Big Bang Theory is one of the best comedy's around. First begain watching from the 2nd season on. Know I watch the repeats and I re-watch all my dvds. I get a hugh laugh out of the series. My best character is Sheldon. Pearson cracks me up. I do like how each character has evolved throught each season. I hope the series lasts for years to come. Howard is a fantastic character. A "must see" for those who enjoy razor sharp wit, great clean dialog, a fresh new face to family sitcoms like Friends and unexpected "turns" in each episode...My husband, John, and I had weekend long "Big Bang Theory" marathons with popcorn, nachos and drinks!! I cherish those memories so much now as John passed away in 2014. Those were some of my fondest moments in my life. We'd laugh through all the episodes.
