Cheap, easy to setup, weak signal
Very easy to program both units, just press the purple button on your opener then hold down the button on the remote until the light blinks. Very clear instructions. Does not work from that far away or without a clear line of sight, I have to remove remote from visor and hold in middle of windshield or its signal won't go through the door to the opener. Easy setup for purple learn button openers
The newer garage door openers have a learn button to activate a remote made for them. I saw either green or purple learn buttons in ebay ads and when I looked, mine was purple (likely important as technical things go). The instruction was: press the purple learn button on the garage opener itself, a tiny red light stays on there, then press the remote button and it should now work to open or close door.
