Best Thing Ever!!!
We don't have wifi or a smart tv, so I was looking for a way to stream media from my phone to my tv using only the data from my cell provider and the mirroring feature on my smartphone. After trying other products unsuccessfully, I came across the Screen Beam Mini 2. It's exactly what I was looking for! It allows me to watch tv, movies, and stream live straight from apps on my phone without any additional costs! Plus it's so simple and easy to use! I liked it so much I purchased another one for the cabin right away and I'm looking to get a 3rd one! So happy someone smarter than me invented this device! It worked for 2 wks then stopped responding.
It was really easy to setup. But after 2 weeks, when I plug it in, the ActionTec logo appears on a black screen for a few seconds. Then the screen turns black. The device will not respond to my phone or laptop. I tried downloading the utility app, but it needs to connect in order to work and it cannot connect. I tried emailing ActionTec ave got no response. Easy Peasy to Install and Setup
I bought one to use on an older TV. Plugged it in, chose HDMI from TV menu and hit screen sharing on my LG phone and it worked immediately! Talk about easy to setup. I also bought a second for another TV. Set up my husbands Samsung to use it. Just had to find the SmartView app on his phone. This product realy works like a charm ! No setup is required other than connecting it to the power and to the tv inout (most popular is HDMI these days). The only rraon I took away one star from the rating is because the first one I bought came with also a short hdmi male to female extensiin cable, as well as a usb power supply, and these where not included when I bought the 2nd and 3rd ones. Easy to use and no wifi needed at all, I have a note 5 and it connects in about 15 sec, works great I have 2 of them

took lil research to figure out how to get it to work, it wouldn't load like it says to. Excellent Miracast Gadget..I have the microsoft display adapter v2, anycast , roku streaming stick + , ScreenBeam mini2 and the ScreenBeam mini2 is the Best Performer out of the lot..absolutely no micro stutters on a 3 hour movie .. i can't say the same for the other gadgets in my collection after watching 10+ movies (the same movies over time).Roku is 2nd with occasional micro stutter , then microsoft, and anycast is good for dvd not HD with lots off micro stutters in 3 hours. Pros : Very Quick ..connects within 20 sec , Quality is very good Cons: Heats up .. you can nearly fry an egg on it..that said just putt an old AMD or Intel heatsink on it using a long female to male hdmi extention cable you can rest the device on a table and the heatsink ontop..that keeps it cool for a hole day of viewing. Some delay in the audio/video but that is expected when you screen mirror..keep your casting device as close as possible mine is +-30cm and the delay is hardly noticeable.
