Good product, great price, functions well, but there is no place to secure my 512 ssd chip

Handy Case to keep your SSD with you, or to back up your drive
USB C, if you want to use it for PC you will need to purchase a USB C male to USB A male cable or a usb C adapter or cable combination to go from the USB C port to the PC. It comes with a usb C to USB C cable. Useless for a PC without an adapter arrangement of some kind. If you plan on doing large file transfers I suggest you keep a small screwdriver with you at all times to open the case to dissipate heat. The case seems to hold heat more than I would have thought possible, once the metal case/sleeve is slid open about an inch the ssd can cool quickly and be slightly warm but not hot. Quality Value and Performance all in one..
You can tell SSK made this a zero defect well engineered enclosure complete with screws and thermal tape to go over the chips. Trruth be told I didnt need the screws and just used the tape. ..and slid the NVMe in..holding end down until completely in. Comes with Cables both usb and c to to c..was certainly a plus for me to use on my thunderbolt.. DOES work as advertised for 10 gfps with the right NVME from 2017 on up.
These DO WORK as they should and can do 1000 mbps type speeds as advertised, depending on if UR using an NVME at the least past the year dated 2017, this case does NOT show the OLDEST NVME from 2014 to 2015, but will show up most all of them from 2017 on forward to today. SOME old NVME modules U may have to use the USB type 3.1 cable instead of the USB-C cable, but again all newer NVME modules from around 2017 on up to today can also then read on the USB-C cable. So that said these were a lot cheaper than the other ones which all were at least $6 to $8 more for another brand, this DOES work as good!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
