A genuine money saving device.
Does what it says on the tin and if you have lots of battery powered items, it'll pay it's way pretty quickly. Alkaline batteries are a little more expensive, but with one of these, again, the costs work themselves out. The only problem I've had is the lid is a bit flimsy. A drop onto carpet meant that one of the bumps it fits onto has broken off. The lid isn't necessary for it to work though and a bit of duct tape sorted it, at the expense of it's fine looks. Hey ho. check the small print

Built for the Job, don't be fooled with cheap copies.
I had one of these a few years ago and used it to recharge Duracel batteries, it always worked great but it eventually gave up the ghost after many years of good work. I made the mistake of buying a cheap copy that looked exactly the same but wasn't up to the job, so I searched for a LLoytron one again and hey presto back up and running. Does what it claims
Seems to recharge a variety of alkaline batteries well enough, something you cannot do in a regular charger. Whether its an economical proposition long-term (given the price of alkalines) remains to be seen but it certainly does what it claims and at least gets the most out of them before recycling is the only option. Brilliant
I was going to buy a charger and rechargeable batteries but I have a son who is always taking batteries out of toys when they don't need changing . As a result I had loads of half used batteries. This charger had them back to full power in 1 to 2 hours. It says that alkaline batteries can be charged a maximum of ten times but that still saves buying 9 sets of batteries.
