Nick Launay, the groundbreaking producer behind fellow Australians Midnight Oil, oversaw most of this project, which was recorded in New York, England and Australia in late 1983. Launay gave the band a thicker, more cinematic sound based primarily around Andrew's sonic keyboards rather than INXS's guitar reserve.
