Behind all the shock and awe there's a very good movie
I already had the "Version you've never seen" but wanted the original film from 1973. This is it and it doesn't disappoint. The Exorcist is very well known for spinning heads and green slime but beyond that there is quite a good movie exploring multiple themes - evil and why evil, the limitations of science/medicine's ability to explain everything and the unwillingness of scientists/doctors to admit to this, faith lost (and perhaps found again), etc.
This deserves its place as one of the best horror films of all time.
As an aside, the extra features are enjoyable, too.
The Exorcist is the de facto classic horror film. There is a reason this film more than most any other is cited as one of the greatest and scariest horror films of all time. This psychological thriller will have you questioning your deepest self and your faith in God but knowing good will eventually triumph will allow you to truly enjoy this movie. Relax, turn off the lights (if you dare) and enjoy a true classic!
This has to be the most frighting movie of all time & a great documentary with it. The performances are flawless
and so is the directing & special effects. I recommend this movie for any horror movie fan, there are graphic scenes
naturally, but the acting, screen play & book are classic.
By far still the most horrifying and nerve rattling pieces of cinema, not for the faint of heart. No supposedly "scary" movie even comes close to the scare factor of this movie!
