PLUS WE ARE ADDING CREAM LIVE DETROIT 1967 & TWO EXTRA FREE CD BONUSES LISTED BELOW. This recording is mastered from the Original Session Tapes and the disc is custom pressed using 24-Karat Gold (known for its superior qualities and resistance to oxidation).
This is as good as it gets, quality-wise, for these historic shows (the master tapes were part of the millions lost in the big Universal warehouse fire). The sound has been tweaked to perfection relative to the old releases, which were muddy and muffled.
For Cream fans, of course:
You don't want to overpay, and prices vary from time to time, but this is TWO original "albums" worth of live Cream ....
Live Cream and Live Cream Volume II. Other CD versions (I really have heard most, from Drake to Those Were The Days, etc.) are generally over bright OR, in the case of Vol. II, a bit muddy sounding. This MFSL Double disk, remastered in the Nineties (I think?) when the original tapes were available, and very fresh, is hands down the best I have heard. Stereo imagong really pops with these, and you will be in the 6TH row middle at The Forum (or whichever venue by recording) for the full-on head-rush that is Cream.
