  • Metallica Load is Great

I own several Metallica CDs, "Ride the Lightning" has been my favorite, but "Load" is right up there. After reading some reviews on Load, many Metallica fans did not like it because with this release Metallica changed up their sound to a more Rock style and not the Metal sound they are famous for. I listen to both Rock and Metal, so thus cross over is really good. I would recommend it to all Led Zepplin / R&R fans. If you're a Metal Head, give it a chance, it still has that Metallica basic sound.

  • Not as good as the "Black" album.............

but that would have been difficult to top anyways. Still recorded/mixed/mastered better than the albums before the "Black" album (is Lars tone deaf?) as they were poorly mixed/mastered (all mids, no bass and harsh highs).

  • Load-Metallica

Not their best album. However, you can't go wrong with it. The band continues to move away from the thrash of old and into bluesy, groovy tracks. Check it out.

  • Best album and the best memories of Metallica

Perfectly in my zone in terms between Heavy and Light metal. The Metallica from the mid early 80's was a bit heavier to me. I remember I was in South Philadelphia in the mid 1990's at a parking lot and saw them in concert. If I remember the band was promoting the Load album.

  • Groovy metal/rock

I hated this in the 90’s because it wasn’t thrash, but I think it’s great now! Really heavy hard rock with some awesome riffs, Load is worth listening to or re-listening to if you hated it like I did back in the day.

  • One of the lesser known album

My ex had this one and liked it very much... I listened to the 4track all the time at work.... then some jerk stole it. Had to buy it again!
