Experience the thrill of the Olympic trials as well as classic Disney magic when a group of athletes from Jamaica who have never seen snow in their lives decide to form a bobsled team and try out for the Olympics. Because sponsors won't take them seriously, they resort to a number of unconventional ways to raise funds for the upcoming trials, including acting as street musicians and operating a kissing booth in between sessions of training on an old, broken-down bobsled that they manage to find. What the "Rocky" films did for Boxing, and "Remember the Titans" did for "Football", "Cool Runnings" did for the sport of Olympic Bobsledding. Based on the true story of Jamaica's first Olympic bobsledding team. They overcame ridicule and adversity for the chance to compete in a sport that was totally foreign to them in order to represent their country in the Olympics. The film was hilarious and at the same time, tear jerking and quite uplifting! Leon, Doug E. Doug, Malik Yoba, and Rawly Lewis were great as the Jamaican bobsledding team- Dereese Bannock, Sanka Coffee, Yul Brynner, and Junior Bevill.
