Disney's first full-length animated masterpiece features all the elements of a classic fairy tale--a beautiful heroine, an evil queen, Prince Charming...and a septet of whistling dwarfs. In hiding from her jealous and wicked stepmother, the fair Snow White takes refuge with a band of kind-hearted, hard-working dwarves: Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy, Happy, Grumpy, Dopey and Doc. Eventually the vain queen finds Snow White and tricks her into eating a poisoned apple. Luckily, a wandering prince comes to her rescue, but can he break the evil queen's spell? Based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS was initially thought a crazy idea for a feature film by those at Walt Disney. However, its lush production and charming characters proved otherwise. It says DVD which means you should be able to play it in your DVD player, but I had to put it in my computer in order to get it to play. about the time the evil queen was going to see Snow White the sound cut out. Very well put together and some of the other features were fun to play.. Very great high quality. I purchased this video to honor Walt Disney and his nine old men including Ward Kimball and Ollie Johnston. Walt Disney's nine old men were the ones who actually made Walt Disney's creations work. Ward Kimball was famous for creating Jiminy Cricket and the train in the great animation cartoon Dumbo. In Snow White he was responsible for the gag of the seven Dwarfs noses popping up over the beds when they looked in on snow white lying on their beds. Magical Memories
For me the con is simply it's a movie I saw as a young girl at the movies many many years ago. I have watched this movie with my children when younger and my grandchildren with the fondest of memories. When the DVD I had wasn't returned after loaning it out to find it on Ebay at such a good price I was thrilled. Legendary Disney Movie Meets Splendid DVD Release
Unless you have resided under a rock for the better part of your lives, you are no doubt familiar with the story of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Splendid piece of literature. When Disney brought it to the big screen during the 30's it was met with tremendous success and praise. Today the grandeur still endures and today I must take my hat off to Disney for a tremendous DVD release--of course I'm referring to their 2001 release. Unlike the blue-ray release, this 2001 release looks and stays true to the original in every way, shape, and form. The prints are clean; but not over the top like you'll find in the majority of today's dvd releases. You still feel as though you are viewing Snow White as it was meant to be---believe me, I'm a harsh critic. I run by the old saying "if you can't do a job right don't do it at all!!" and I'm only 34, lol. The special features are plentiful--hours and hours-- and the magic mirror is your guide. If you don't choose something fast the mirror spouts off humorous phrases like "Make up your mind, I don't have all eternity. Wait, yes I do!" lol You receive many documentaries, a virtual art work gallery tour set up in the castle (the art work covers 3 wings of the castle and I counted over (100??) pieces). Gawd!! The Disney of yesteryear sure could draw and didn't depend on computers to do it for them!!! You get bonus songs, missing or cut scenes, storyboards, poster and advertisement galleries, a virtual journey through The Snow White castle ride, Dopey's Mine Game--although it was easy, believe me, I don't play video games but I experienced great laughter and pleasure--the effects were amazing. Along with other special features, you also get a song sung by Barbara Streisand instead of a Disney tween star nobody's heard of nor cares for. All in all, this is an example of a proper Disney DVD release--unlike today's efforts. So if you are a fan of classic Disney (a few other proper DVD releases are Alice In Wonderland: Unbirthday anniversary 2 disc) then I highly suggest you purchase this 2 disc masterpieceVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great movie, plays flawlessly. The only issue I have is that this is not a digitally remastered version of the movie. It's clearly not the 2001 version.
