Simply Fantastic
What can be said that isn't redundant about this faithfully great WWII series? Having had a father and uncles who served in the war and saw that combat it was rewarding to actually see what I had only heard old tales of. These discs truly reveal so much of that fantastic generation of men who lived and died through one of the worst periods of history. OUTSTANDING!!!
This is my favorite movie and I am so glad to own it in it’s beautiful presentation box. The movie is based on real characters and real events of Easy Company and World War 11. The research done on the movie was very accurate according to the living survivors at the time it was produced. I have followed up on the main characters since seeing the movie. Richard Winters did indeed retire on a farm in Lancaster, PA and is buried there. “Wild Bill” and “Babe” were both from South Philadelphia. My son and I visited the place where Philadelphians erected a statue in their honor. We also visited the St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA where Bill Guarnere is buried. It was the movie that brought this “Band of Brothers” to the general publics attention. It is very inspiring and this movie is a must see for all generations. The actual product I bought was better than the pictures and the quality was like new. This was one of my best purchases. I will enjoy it with my family for a long time to come. Thank you!

This was a great movie series!
I bought this series for my son for Christmas, and we put the movies on and binge-watched from beginning to end. It brought laughter, outrage, and tears. My son had just enlisted in the Marine Corps and I was under the mistaken impression that as long as he was in a foxhole, he'd be safe. There was a scene where this proved to be wrong impression to have, so it was truly a terrifying wake up call for me. Great product, even better series!
Band of brothers is my all time favorite series, the characters are incredible. I love everything about it! I assume that most people purchasing this product have already seen it. With that being said, the product is great, there is one teeny tiny dent on the side of the tin, however that is to be expected with used products. Every disc runs with out flaw, if you’re looking for this disc set I absolutely recommend this one! best WW2 movie / series ever
excellent cast, screenplay, When I watched it on TV, i watched all 12 hours straight through..there are one or two criticisms. There were 2 episodes that focused on one individual or character type. the one about the scared soldier, and the one about the medic..i found that they didn't need to be a whole episode about them and if they found that they wanted to, they could have picked Lt. Dont miss this series.
One of the most accurate and griping war stories. I usually dont watch war stories because i become attached to some of the soldiers and this was no different. Ive been a police officer which is like a cake walk when compared to the war. It also has a very realistic episode of how our soldiers must have felt upon entering a concentration camp not having any idea what was happening. A New American History Classic
Band of Brothers is a wonderful, unique perspective, from the soldiers who lived it, into a window of history, not only American, but that of the world. The presentation of this series allows the viewer to get to know and understand most of the characters, from basic training until the end of the war, or their untimely death. For me, this is what was lacking in The Pacific. The themed, protective metal box is a big plus to keep all 6 discs in one place! The one and only draw back to this collection is that the real soldiers are not named as they give their commentary preceding each part of the series. I watched bits and pieces of this set when it was originally on HBO. I bought the Band of Brothers set to watch while I'm stuck at home due to the Crona bug. While I've only watched the first five disc so far, I can truthfully say this is one great, gritty window of WW2 combat that my grandfather lived thru. This series shows how precious and short a human life is. Some very upstanding characters are killed in an instant when try to direct or help other wounded soldiers. The soldiers care for one another is very moving. The in between interviews of some the actual service men portrayed in the series is excellent when they express their fears and courage under fire.
