This film meant a great deal to me when it first came out, having read and reread the book I was greatly surprised that it held true to the book in my minds eye, now the recent "part 2" Doctor Sleep has come out in book & film, I have read the book & have purchased the new film, I'm hoping for great things, if it's anywhere near The Shining I'll be pleased. I shall be rereading the books before watching both films, hopefully I'll be writing a glowing review on the new film, if it's as good. Mark
