Additional informationSounding a bit like the Beau Brummels crossed with the Searchers, with just a bit of the Mamas & the Papas thrown in for pop seasoning, Australia's the Seekers have had a long career, one that began in the early 1960s, and five decades on, in 2012, this two-disc, 50-track set appeared to celebrate the group's 50th anniversary. All the hits and essential sides are here, including "Georgy Girl," "A World of Our Own," and "I'll Never Find Another You," among others, as well as two new tracks unique to this set, versions of "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" (a song written by Tom Springfield, who produced many of the Seekers' early hits) and the Beatles' "In My Life." The Seekers were never really an albums act, so what's truly essential is here, making this both a nice introduction and a fair high-point summation of the group's catalog. ~ Steve Leggett

This is a really comprehensive collection of work from these amazingly talented musicians. Along with so many of their classic tracks, there is a suberb set of lesser known pieces which are wonderfully treated. Perfect replacement for the one I loved.
I had this CD set and loved it. It has most of the Seekers hits. Unfortunately the CD player gobbled up one of the CDs, so I wanted to replace it. Being an older set I was surprised to find it.
