Fast, Reliable, and Forgiving
After a power supply mishap, I had to remove the processor cooler with fresh thermal compound installed. I bent the pins removing the processor. After careful realignment with a sewing needle under a magnifier, I was able to reinstall the processor and it works perfectly. WARNING TO ALL: Modular power supply cables are proprietary. Powerful Processor
I got this processor specifically because I already had an AMD system and this processor performs extremely well for running PC games. The 3D cache AMD introduced really increases gaming performance. The 5800X3D performs as advertised
This CPU delivers what the specifications say: the stacked L3 Cache delivers higher FPS (frames per second) and a stutter free experience in gaming (specifically for me at 1440p). Many PC gaming enthusiasts are well aware of their PC rig, overall specs, and how/what component will affect performance. Being one of those individuals, I can say that the 5800X3D performs VERY well...it is the last upgrade in terms of gaming for the AM4 platform, and in some benchmarks, it supersedes gaming performance amongst the AM5, 7000 series CPU's. Undervolts Well
I opted to reuse the old Wraith cooler that came with my 3700x. Initially when running Cinebench R23 I ran into the thermal limit and was throttled to 4.2ghz. After reading PrimeO7's PBO2 Tuner guide on Github I was able to undervolt my X3D by 30mv which reduced temps by 20c, lowered power draw by 20w and allowed for max boost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
