Product Information

Steve McQueen got his first break in the industry when he starred in the popular Western-themed television show WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE. Playing bounty hunter Josh Randall, McQueen was a kindly soul who brought criminals to justice, and helped out the needy by donating a portion of his fee to charitable causes. A rugged, softly-spoken enigma, Randall perused the Old West for likely wrong doers, making sure to always utter his catchphrase, "Let's Go," at every opportunity. This collection gathers together all 36 episodes from the first season of the show.

    A Grand Classic

    Today’s TV series movies can’t hold a candle to those of the 50s and 60s. Wanted Dead or Alive was a true classic ranking up there with Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Dragnet, and Adam 12. These old classics had superb acting, were ethical in nature, and all episodes had a moral in the end.

    Steve McQueen deserves better

    I am giving this set Wanted: Dead Or Alive Season One two stars only because Steve McQueen made the series memorable. Whoever decided to put this series on dvd did the fans no favour when they went all out to produce the cheapest product they could. These discs are two sided to begin with and were cheaply packaged. The dvds were scratched and in some cases froze up and were not viewable. Why not do a blu-ray version of the series and package them in regular blu-ray cases properly with some extras. People who liked Steve McQueen would appreciate this set and be willing to pay more if it was done properly. Just another example of short changing the consumer. I will be far more cautious in the future and looking for blu-ray versions ONLY so as to avoid paying any amount of money for junk like this!

    Excellent Western Series

    Excellent for the folks who enjoy the late 50’s and early 60’s westerns, in my opinion Steve McQueen had one of the best series ever in Wanted Dead or Alive, very entertaining episodes and nice to watch at your convenience.
